Saint Studios Privacy Policy

Saint Studios is a video editor for iPhone and iPad that runs entirely on your device. All processing — rendering, color grading, effects, captions, analysis and export — is done by the device itself. Nothing is sent to a cloud service or to any third party for processing. The app has no servers and no accounts.

The short version. The app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and the app makes no network requests of its own. Your footage stays where you put it.

1. What the app collects

Nothing. Saint Studios does not collect, transmit or store any personal data outside your device. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it makes no network requests of its own.

2. What stays on your device

Your projects and media live in the app’s own storage on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync in App Settings, project packages are stored in your own iCloud Drive under a “Saint Studios” folder, using Apple’s iCloud service under Apple’s privacy terms; the app never sees your Apple ID.

The optional “usage counts” setting keeps anonymous on-device counters of which features you use — for example, how many exports you have made — so that a diagnostics report you choose to share with support says what the app is doing. These counters never leave the device unless you copy that report yourself.

3. Permissions the app asks for, and why

PermissionWhy
Photo libraryTo import your videos and photos, and to save exports.
MicrophoneTo record voiceover onto the timeline.
CameraTo record clips straight onto the timeline.
Speech recognitionTo generate captions, using Apple’s speech model on the device.

Each permission is requested only when you first use that feature, and you can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings.

4. No generative AI, no remote analysis

Saint Studios uses no generative AI. The features that analyze your footage — captions, stabilization, object tracking and subject cutouts — are Apple’s on-device Speech and Vision frameworks. They read your footage on the device and nowhere else. Captions may ask iOS to download a speech model once, from Apple, before the first transcription in a language; your audio is not part of that download.

5. Diagnostics

The app can produce a text diagnostics report — device model, OS version, project statistics, recent log lines and crash summaries — when you ask for it under App Settings › Help. It is shown to you, and it is shared only if you choose to share it.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top.
